IB Roof Systems Donates Roofing Material to Ronald McDonald House Charities Across the Country
When IB Roof Systems CEO Jason Stanley and his wife Teresa committed to supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities, they didn't write a check and walk away. They donated PVC roofing membrane. They organized a golf tournament. They got the entire roofing industry involved.
The result is one of the most hands-on charitable partnerships in commercial construction in the Texas and Oklahoma area.
What IB Roof Systems Has Donate
IB has donated PVC roofing membranes to multiple Ronald McDonald House projects across the country, including large-scale installations in Columbus, Ohio, Oklahoma City, and Charleston, South Carolina. These are not small projects. The Columbus Ronald McDonald House, located next to Nationwide Children's Hospital, underwent a $50 million expansion that made it the largest Ronald McDonald House in the world with 205 bedrooms. IB provided the roofing membrane for that expansion.
The donations go beyond material. IB coordinates with authorized contractors and industry partners to provide labor, accessories, and technical support for each installation. The Roofing Alliance, the National Roofing Contractors Association, and multiple manufacturers including Georgia-Pacific Gypsum and GAF have contributed to these projects alongside IB.
Hearts on the Green: The Annual Golf Tournament
In April 2025, IB hosted the first Hearts on the Green golf tournament at Timarron Country Club in Southlake, Texas. The event drew 90 players from across the country and raised $50,000 for the Ronald McDonald Houses in Fort Worth and Dallas. The second annual tournament followed in April 2026, with the goal of building on that number.
One hundred percent of the proceeds go directly to Ronald McDonald House Charities. No administrative overhead. No sponsorship fees skimmed off the top. Every dollar benefits families whose children are receiving medical treatment at nearby hospitals.
Why This Matters to the Roofing Industry
Ronald McDonald Houses provide housing for families while their children undergo extended medical care. There are 387 freestanding houses and 270 family rooms inside hospitals across the country. These facilities are independently owned and operated, and most of their funding comes from community donations, not from McDonald's Corporation.
The roofs on these buildings matter. A leak in a Ronald McDonald House doesn't just damage a building. It disrupts the one stable environment a family has while their child is in treatment.
